Max Latham 1952-2016

November 21, 2016

Max Latham with Louisa Latham

We are very sad to announce the death of Max Latham, my Dad, on Wednesday 16th November 2016.

It’s safe to say that Debonair Tea Company would not exist without Dad who was my original tea muse. Indeed, he is the reason I was the only person who turned up to university with a one cup teapot, tea strainer and loose leaf tea.

Dad was also a massive influence in my political study and decision to stand for local office on a number of occasions.

Dad, thank you so much for ingraining my passion for tea and supporting my decision to embark on this venture when a lot of other people thought we were nuts – we hope we will continue to make you proud of us.

It has been a difficult week at Debonair HQ and we are hugely grateful to our two staff members, friends and family who have enabled us to keep the business running despite Dad’s rapid decline in health – thank you.

Lou x
