Introducing our Mao Jian green tea, hailing from Hunan province in China.
Though the production of Mao Jian Tea first took place in Henan, not Hunan, it has since spread.
The leaf is small, neat and green with a little curve to it like an eyebrow. The liquor is light and bright with a beautifully delicate, floral character.
Part of our Sommelier's Selection, this tea is available exclusively through our online shop!
Steep 1tsp per cup for 3-5 minutes in 70-80°C water. Enjoy without milk.
"Mao jian" are words to depict the shape of the tea — "mao" means tiny fuzz in cup when brewed and "jian" refers to the shape of the sharp, full young leaves.
